The Journal.

When WSJ was developing its daily deep-dive news podcast, The Journal., they needed to showcase the core strengths of WSJ's journalism in a fast-changing format. They decided to build the show as a partnership. The goal was to combine the audio genius of the podcasting company Gimlet with extraordinary depth of reporting from WSJ. I led the effort as the show's executive producer, responsible for launching the podcast, meeting its grueling daily deadlines, managing the talent, and maintaining WSJ's editorial standards.

The show has been recognized for a slew of both audio and journalism awards for covering everything from the meltdown of WeWork to the early days of Covid in Wuhan, China. In the first year it became one of the most popular podcasts in the world. As of last month it was the top show on Spotify's news charts and number three on the platform.

You can find episodes of The Journal here or listen to a trailer for the show here.
